These changes are designed to help businesses better manage messaging costs, especially in markets experiencing currency fluctuations, while continuing to ensure WhatsApp remains a strong and valuable communication channel.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #22d19b;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>What\u2019s Changing in 2026<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Beginning <\/span><b>January 1, 2026<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">, Meta may adjust rates up to once per quarter, in line with our <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/developers.facebook.com\/docs\/whatsapp\/pricing#pricing-calendar\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">pricing calendar<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Below is an overview of the updates taking effect in specific markets.<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>1. Utility &amp; Authentication Messages<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Rates will be updated in <\/span><b>one market<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meta will continue offering volume tiers so customers can unlock lower pricing as they scale.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Utility messages sent within the 24-hour <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/developers.facebook.com\/docs\/whatsapp\/cloud-api\/guides\/send-messages#customer-service-windows\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">customer service window<\/span><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> in response to users will remain <\/span><b>free<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Non-Marketing (NonMM):<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Rate decrease in <\/span><b>North America<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>2. Marketing Messages<\/b><\/h3>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Marketing message rates will change in <\/span><b>three markets<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>India:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Increase<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>France:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Decrease<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>Egypt:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Decrease<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Meta is continuing to invest in improving marketing message performance. Recent enhancements\u2014such as text truncation and tappable preview headers\u2014have increased click-through rates by an average of <\/span><b>14%<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">We also introduced the <\/span><b>Marketing Messages API for WhatsApp (formerly MM Lite API)<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">. Thanks to automatic optimizations and more dynamic message limits, high-engagement messages reach more customers. In India, highly-engaged messages saw <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/meta.highspot.com\/items\/67cb175be86801dddbb26399?lfrm=srp.5#11\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>up to 9% higher messages delivered<\/b><\/a><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> compared to Cloud API.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 style=\"color: #22d19b;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>New Currency and Billing Enhancements<\/b><\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">To help customers better manage costs, Meta is introducing the following updates:<\/span><\/p>\n<h3><b>1. Additional Supported Currencies<\/b><\/h3>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>10 new currencies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be added in 2026.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">A total of <\/span><b>16 currencies<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> will be available by the second half of 2026.<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Customers wishing to use a new currency can do so by creating a new WABA and selecting it during setup.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3><b>2.
